Job description
- Managing of contractors according to contract and FPS stipulations and requirements
- Monthly meetings, audits and reports of contractors
- Budgeting for major projects, plant jobs and EM
- Compiling technical specifications, budget and quality control on new contracts
- Reducing contractor spend by continuous improvement
- Resolving plant and contractor queries and issues
- Assist plants in shutdown planning
- Perform standby duties
Minimum requirements
Qualification:
- National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Industrial Engineering
- 18 months structured development program
Experience and Requirements:
- 18 months experience
- Experience in contract management
- Computer literate
- Experience in SAP PS and PM modules
- Knowledge of capital projects initiation and management procedures
- Experience in project planning and management
Personal Attributes:
- Pro-active, initiative and performance driven
- Good customer relations
- Safety and quality conscious with good knowledge of FPS and Life Saving golden rules
- Must be able to function well within a maintenance team as well the ability to work independently where required
- Strong presentation, facilitation and negotiating skills
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships at all levels
- Sound communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to implement plans
- Ability to relate to plant personnel and interpret their requirements
