Job description
- Co-ordinate and perform breakdown and preventative maintenance tasks on electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment
- General and advanced fault finding and repair
- Providing a technical advisory and support function to maintenance and production personnel
- Accept specific technical responsibilities in terms of plant shutdowns and modifications
- Inspection and day to day maintenance of equipment
- Improving the availability of the plant
- Involved in plant improvements and CI projects
- Isolation/Shutdown and making safe of equipment – Appointment of Isolation specialist
- Perform start up and shut down procedures
- Assist in spares control
- Assist with training of Junior Millwrights and completion of there IDP’s
- Perform WCM tasks
- Utilize time available fully by ensuring all PM Orders are accurately completed and handed in
- Do standby duties as and when required
Minimum requirements
Qualification:
- Grade 12 / N3 / NCV 4 (NQF 4/10)
- Multi-discipline trade certificate - Millwright
Experience and Requirements:
- Wireman’s license will be an advantage
- Knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of overhead cranes
- Knowledge of Material Handling (Weighing. Conveyer belts, Stacking and Reclaiming)

- Must be willing to work shifts
