Job description
- Assisting Management to implement and maintain effective Fatality Prevention Standards
- Ensuring plant efficiency and stable plant performance
- Investigation and solving of plant incidents
- Optimize and continuous improvement of the raw materials preparation process and operation
- Controlling total cost of process and consumables
- Maintain plant SHE system to comply with Mittal standards
- Development and implementation of plant specific practices to improve overall plant performance
- RCA on process and plant deviations
- Manage capital projects
- Trouble-shooting of process and equipment bottlenecks
Minimum requirements
Qualifications:
- National Diploma Metallurgical Engineering (NQF6)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
- Good general knowledge of safety
- Knowledge of plant processes

- Ability to influence people from a wide range of disciplines towards the achievement of set goals
- Ability to communicate effectively at all times and at all levels of the organization
- Good facilitating skills
- Basic financial skills (Budget)
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
