· Manage the sales cycle including budgeting, forecasting, negotiation & sales, orders, dispatches, inventory, payment receipts, overdues and claim resolution
· Ensure timeous quotations and payment receipts to mitigate FX risks on the Company
· Support the preparation and records of export transit documentation in compliance with Customs rules, and relevant communication with Service Managers and Customers
· Develop and maintain long term relations with Customers within the allocated countries, with all aspects related to CRM
· Develop new business with Customers in line with market development strategy
· Achieve own performance targets: revenue, forecast conversion rate, Customer outreach, Customer satisfaction, complaints treatment time
· Actively support the organisational understanding, Customer requirements and service levels to achieve commercial targets
· Provide timeous market intelligence feedback to various working groups and reporting channels, around the market demand, risks, prices, competition and inventories
· Develop and present Customer account plans and support the execution of actions
· Contribute to Marketing communication campaigns and industry forums on requirement
Minimum requirements
· Applicable Marketing B-degree/HND/B-Tech or M.Diploma (NQF 7/10)
- Readiness for international business travels: in possession of a passport, flexible to travel on short notice and over extended periods
- 18 Months experience, preferably in Commercial / Sales environment
- Previous exposure to regional export business and Customers requirements will be considered an advantage
- Sound knowledge of ArcelorMittal South Africa’s product range, operation capabilities, market landscape and requirements
- Business portfolio and relationship management experience is essential
- Basic FX concepts: understand exchange rate fluctuations and related impacts on pricing, margins and profitability
- Familiar with international payment instruments
- Familiar with incoterms, trade regulations, logistics, Customs processes and documentation for the targeted regional export destinations
- Computer literacy (Ms Office) and exposure to ERPs and CRM tools (e.g. SAP, Sales Force)

- Good business acumen, with negotiation skills and proven abilities to develop and maintain sound relations
