Job description

Responsibilities & requirements
 
Tasks include but not limited to:
Improving the availability of the plant
Technical support to the maintenance section, including standby.
Fault finding and correcting of faults.
Ensure spares availability of drives and PLC systems.
Root cause analysis of failures, fault finding.
Involved in capital, EM, and planned maintenance projects.
Training of electrical maintenance staff.
Maintenance and development of PLC/SCADA systems and networks.
Maintenance, repair, and installation of plant electrical systems.
Planning and organizing of tasks requested by the Plant.
Specialised support as electrical Technician.
Liaise with other disciplines in the workplace.
Improvement of plant control systems.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications & requirements
 

·       National Diploma in Electrical Engineering Heavy Current (NQF 6/10)

·       Minimum 18 Months work experience or structural development programme

·       Computer Literacy (MS Office).

·       Must have own vehicle with a valid driver's license

·       Wiremans Licence

·       An Electrical Trade Qualification will be an added advantage

·       Must be physically fit and strong, with good vision and hearing.

·       Excellent Communication skills, interpersonal and customer skills/relationship.

·       Good analytical, problem solving, co-ordination and innovative skills with attention to detail.

·       Must be willing to work stand-by and additional hours when required.

·       Ability to implement plans.

Proven experience and knowledge of the following:

·       Analogue and digital drive control systems

·       Rockwell Allen Bradley ControlLogix and SLC, PLC’s

·       CCTV Camera experience.

·       Data communication networks

·       Temperature measurement and control

·       Analytical instruments

·       Level, Pressure and flow instruments and process control

·       Valves and actuators

·       RCA, PM, and SAP will be advantageous

·       Application of skills in fault-finding
