Job description

  • Execution of projects.
  • Oversee the dayshift team tasks and effectiveness.
  • Issue RFQ's for projects and manpower.
  • Plan and schedule equipment maintenance.
  • Ordering of commodities
  • Optimizing production.
  • Provide technical support to the production teams.
  • Conduct safety and FPS audits.
  • Assist in driving safety initiatives.
  • Troubleshooting and fault finding.
  • Identify and execute plant improvement projects.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of plant shutdowns.
  • Assist in developing and updating operating procedures.
  • Ensure equipment inspection files is up to date.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications:
  • B-Eng./ BSc Degree (NQF 8/10) in Chemical Engineering
  • Government Certificate of Competency (Preferable)

Experience and Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
  • Good understanding of engineering processes
  • Good under of fluid flow and heat transfer.
  • Good understanding of mechanical equipment such as pumps, turbines and heat exchangers.
  • Preferably experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
  • Incident investigation (RCAT).
  • Conducting RCA's.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to correlate and analyze plant data.
  • Good knowledge and application of faultfinding.
