Job description
- Conduct Reliability, Preventative, Execution, Recovery, and Campaign extension maintenance, and Planning and Scheduling in line with guidelines stipulated by the Maintenance Business Improvement (BI) Asset Reliability Program (ARP)
- Deliver the annual planned production based on customer requirements, in line with the monthly capacity plan, while maintaining the plant capability for future years
- Direct and coordinate the maintenance process functions within relevant areas of responsibility
- Minimizing impact of relevant processes on the environment
- Ensure that maintenance is performed in accordance with the Quality Management System
- Continuous improvement (CI) of maintenance processes towards operational excellence and supporting production methods and unit production costs
- Collaboratively adapt production plans with managers in line with prevailing plant business imperatives and forecasts
- Contribute towards maximisation of the economic value and long-term sustainability of maintenance & production processes and assets
- Participate in the manufacturing business planning and budgeting process as well as customer, supply and value chain initiatives
- Drive CI and CAPEX initiatives for the Maintenance Plant Department
- Manage total maintenance budget and spending based on sound business principles
- Conduct high level negotiations with customers and suppliers
- Coaching and development of direct reports and high potential employees
- Management of SHERQ, information technology and communication issues within area of responsibility
Minimum requirements
Qualification
- B-Degree (NQF 8/10) in Engineering and preferably completion of a Management Development Program.
- Government Certificate of Competence
Skills and Experience
- 6 years' relevant experience, preference in an industrial environment
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role
- Experience in managing the maintenance of complex plant
- Sound knowledge and experience in the management of manufacturing systems
