Job description

  • Develop periodically the operational objectives and key performance indicators for asset utilization and capacity maximization for each equipment and/or process within the Central Engineering and Services environment.  Applies scientific and engineering knowledge in support of Production, Maintenance and Equipment reliability with emphasis on process reliability and predictability
  • Implement process parameter controls and monitor daily. Initiate and managing actions to prevent/correct deviations.
  • Participate in a daily production and maintenance review meetings in which the previous day’s plant performance is reviewed, key issues recognized, and priorities set for the next production period.
  • Develop documented SOP’s, SWP’s and Job cards in conjunction with Zone members and provide focus on process reliability. Do regular audits on SOP’s, SWP’s and process Job cards.
  • Facilitate and lead in RCA investigation for process deviations and equipment failures
  • Ensure proper maintenance philosophy and strategies are developed and rolled out to relevant plants.
  • Update and maintain GCB and GTB data basis.
  • Coordinate and sponsor capital budget and projects for area.  This includes the Energy Efficiency strategic intent and initiatives.
  • Lead and effrctively manage a team of specialists responsible for asset reliability
  • Coach and mentor and create development plans for team members
  • Implement and sustain deliverables related to reliability on the Maintenance Transformation
  • Create and sustain a proactive maintenance and reliability culture within the Infrastructure Team

Minimum requirements

Qualifiction:
 
  •      B.Eng Degree (NQF 8/10) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  •      Preverably a Management Development Program
  •      MBA and Government ticket  will be advantageous
 Experience and Requirements: 
 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience on a Managerial level
  • Sound knowledge of Process and Reliability Engineering
