Job description

  • Lead planning office for Infrastructure
  • Utilise CMMS computer software and other computer applications to support the maintenance function
  • Make field inspections and determine appropriate job work scopes
  • Develop work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment and execution of maintenance work.
  • Create, use and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays (all information must be catured on SAP)
  • Perform purchasing duties as required
  • Stage materials and special tools as required
  • Evaluate job feedback to improve future work
  • Keep familiar with current safety, health, environmental rules and regulations.
  • Provide technical assistance as required for maintenance personnel
  • Prepare reports as required
  • Control cost expenditure (SAP and PowerBI access)
  • Substore control Inventory control (Spares, PPE, etc)
  • Training & Development
  • Required to work overtime and standby duty
  • Contractor management procedures
  • Re-co equipment inspections and follow-ups not handled by progress team
  • Knowledge of all CSS, infrastructure plants and responsible areas
  • Drive overdue issues reporting from “weekly zones”
  • MTR lead the weekly discussions with the teams

Minimum requirements

Qualification:
  • National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation
  • Trade Certificate:  Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation
Experience and Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Computer literate with application of SAP, Microsoft Office, MS Projects PIVOT
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment in the maintenance of a Caster
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments
  • Able to apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and appropriate solutions in swiftly development job plans
  • Able to communicate clarly and consisely in written and verbal form
  • Able to maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including operators vendors, contractors, subordinates, peers and superiors
  • Able to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports and manuals
  • Able to wear all PPE and execute all physical duties within the office as well as on the plant.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to function as a 'task initiator'
