Job description

  • Initiating, budgeting, planning and implementing projects.
  • Initiating and completing major capital and extraordinary maintenance projects according to budget.
  • Co-responsible to ensure maximum plant availability regarding Instrumentation equipment and systems
  • Compiling detail technical specifications
  • Quality control of projects, machinery and installations.
  • Improving the process availability of the plant.
  • Technical support to the maintenance sections as above.
  • Failure analysis.
  • Training of Instrumentation personnel.
  • Liaising with outside companies and other sections within the works.
  • Standby

Minimum requirements

Qualifications:
  • National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Electrical Engineering (Process Instrumentation)

Experience and Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
  • Experience in the Engineering environment.
  • Sound knowledge of Instrumentation systems and the maintenance of measuring and control equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of analytical equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of systems networking.
  • Computer literate in MS Projects, MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in SAP PM modules is recommended.
  • Superior knowledge and application of skills in fault-finding
  • Superior technical knowledge to be applied in relation to plant equipment.
  • Experience in project work and planning.
