Job description
Contracting and Procurement
- Issue RFQ’s and Enquiries, receive tenders, do commercial evaluation of tenders, coordinate technical evaluation, prepare Recommendation document and present to Sub-Tender Adjudication Committee or Tender Adjudication Committee depending on values
- Negotiate with suppliers on terms and conditions, prices and price escalations
- Obtain all relevant approvals by e-doc
- Drafting of contracts
- Manage a contract register and provide accurate status reporting and early warning on expiring term agreements
- Liaise with Head Office Supply Chain on the Procurement of Commodities and Projects under their management to ensure timely contracting
- Coordination of all procurement tasks and reporting
- Determine procurement strategy
- Conduct market analysis to ensure efficient procurement
- Identify and evaluate prospective suppliers
- Ensure achievement of preferential procurement targets
- Provide guidance in the development of local suppliers
- Manage supplier relationships
- Place and approve/ facilitate approval of purchase orders according to delegated authority
- Ensure compliance to Supply Chain Policy
- Provide inputs to annual policy review
- Generate savings and capture detail
Warehousing, Stock Replenishment and Asset disposal
- Do annual cycle counting of stock, investigate deviations, obtain approval to do audit adjustments to stock and complete transactions in SAP
- Receive delivered items, coordinate inspection and off-loading and do goods receipt transaction
- Identify stock redundancies and obtain approval to do stock write-offs
- Maintain a register of redundant items
- Receive redundant items for asset disposal
- Manage the laydown area for redundant items and provide accurate status reporting
- Do market research and facilitate valuation of items to be disposed off
- Manage the commercial aspects of Asset disposal in accordance with approved policy
- Coordinate the loading and dispatch of redundant items sold Manage reclamation of hazardous waste and the disposal thereof in accordance with environmental laws;
- Facilitate decision taking on MRP settings and maintain in SAP
- All appropriate work instructions & standards are read, signed off & adhered to;
- Safety meetings are attended;
Master Data
- Coordination of Master Data request forms (M36) by users and the approval thereof;
- Creation of new materials on PILOG and relevant approvals;
General
- Supervision over contracted staff
- All administrative related duties relating to the above
Minimum requirements
Qualification:
- B.Com (NQF 7/10) in Supply Chain Management
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years operational experience in Supply Chain Management which includes buying, capital buying, contracts management
- Valid Driver’s license Code 08/EB
- In a position to obtain Medical Fitness Certificate
- Computer Literate, MS Office, SAP
- Experience in a financial
