Job description
- Financial management, Extraordinary Maintenance, Capex and budgeting for major projects
- Initiating and completing major capital and extraordinary maintenance projects according to:
- Compile technical specifications, execution planning and budget
- Quality control of projects, reconditioning, machinery and installations
- Quality management of project closeout through system updates, drawings and update s of procedures
- Improving the mechanical availability of the plant and managing restoration plans
- Root Cause Failure analysis
- Training of mechanical staff
- Maintain preventative maintenance initiatives, including but not limited to condition monitoring
- Sound knowledge of best mechanical maintenance practices
- Technical support to technicians, engineers, artisans, maintenance and production teams
- Implementation of fatality prevention standards
- Auditing and improvement of standards, process, procedures.
Minimum requirements
Qualification:
- B-Eng Degree (NQF 8/10) in Mechanical Engineering
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience on overhead cranes
- Experienced in improving plant reliability
- Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Projects
- Knowledge of capital procurement and budgeting processes
- Project management experience
- Experience in SAP PS and PM Modules will be an added advantage
- Reliability engineering knowledge e.g. RCA procedures, condition monitoring, planning, restoration programs
- Sound knowledge of structures, gantry and girders
