ArcelorMittal South Africa is looking to recruit 3 x Electrical Technicians
Job description

  • Perform root cause analysis.
  • Apply maintenance principles to reduce/eliminate delays.
  • Attend to electrical breakdowns.
  • You will be requested to work overtime when required.
  • Follow up on defects and plant problems.
  • Manage preventative maintenance tasks on electrical equipment (Thermography, DGA)
  • Updating electrical drawings and training manuals
  • Drive to reduce plant delays and to improve the efficiency of the systems to prolong the life of the electrical systems
  • Provide specialist support to maintenance and production teams
  • Perform CAPEX and OPEX projects, including scoping, procurement, and task execution.
  • Interpreting protection relays to ensure system safety and reliability
  • Providing support for both High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) substations.
  • Assisting with the maintenance and support of 30MW and 40MW generators.
  • Perform switching 400V/3.3kV and 11kV systems
 

Minimum requirements

Qualification:
  • National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Electrical Engineering
Experience and Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 months experience in Infrastructure or manufacturing plants
  • Perform root cause analysis.

  • Attend to electrical breakdowns.
  • You will be requested to work overtime when required.
