ArcelorMittal South Africa is looking to recruit 3 x Electrical Technicians
Job description
- Perform root cause analysis.
- Apply maintenance principles to reduce/eliminate delays.
- Attend to electrical breakdowns.
- You will be requested to work overtime when required.
- Follow up on defects and plant problems.
- Manage preventative maintenance tasks on electrical equipment (Thermography, DGA)
- Updating electrical drawings and training manuals
- Drive to reduce plant delays and to improve the efficiency of the systems to prolong the life of the electrical systems
- Provide specialist support to maintenance and production teams
- Perform CAPEX and OPEX projects, including scoping, procurement, and task execution.
- Interpreting protection relays to ensure system safety and reliability
- Providing support for both High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) substations.
- Assisting with the maintenance and support of 30MW and 40MW generators.
- Perform switching 400V/3.3kV and 11kV systems
Minimum requirements
Qualification:
- National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Electrical Engineering
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months experience in Infrastructure or manufacturing plants
- Perform root cause analysis.
