Job description

  • Understanding and leveraging the strategy and business drivers
  • Ensure that the plant meets its on-time readiness and on-time delivery targets
  • Improve throughput, reduce operation costs and to implement and maintain high quality standards
  • Managing long term pro-active relationships with customers (both internal and external) and suppliers
  • Strong focus on Root Cause Analysis of process and incident delays
  • Coaching and development of managerial levels and high potential candidates
  • Manage the Department on sound business principles
  • Managing and leading departmental Safety drive


Minimum requirements

Qualification
  • B-Degree (NQF 8/10) in Metallurgical Engineering and preferably completion of a Management Development Program.

Skills and Experience
  • 6 years' relevant experience, preference in an industrial environment
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role
  • Knowledge of both production and maintenance functions
