2. Developing and engaging our people to ensure a high performance and value driven culture.

- Optimise organisation and workforce design, in line with ArcelorMittal guidelines to meet business objectives
- Execute the performance management process to develop a performance culture

- Provide leadership to direct reports and operations team
3. Creating wealth and growth for our employees, customers, business partners, service providers and Shareholders.
- Participate in the establishment of the strategy, master plan, objectives and implementation plan for ArcelorMittal South Africa
- Ensure rollout of the master plan in ArcelorMittal South Africa
- Ensure internal customer satisfaction in terms of quality products and processes
- Ensure overall budget control and compliance to financial governance rules
4. Maximising operating profit and cash flow while effectively managing cost.
- Ensure yearly budget preparation and compliance
- Ensure sustainability by achievement of CAPEX budget on annual basis
- Ensure effective stock management
- Take ownership of Business Improvement initiatives and commitment to targets
5. Continuously optimize sustainable throughput by improving processes, quality, cost and efficiencies
- Maximise steel plant value chain by optimising the different steel making units within the steel plant
- Ensure sustainable output of products at minimum cost, with quality and service required by the customer
- Manage the actions for continuous and sustainable improvement on throughput, efficiency, quality and cost
- Take responsibility for agreed performance targets
- Ensure roll-out of standardisation initiatives
Minimum requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicable B-Degree (NQF8) as well as, a Management Development Program
- MBA would be advantageous
- 10 years relevant post qualification experience
- Understanding of the steel business
- Technical and commercial acumen
- Leading and managing large diverse teams
- Understanding of SHE and other statutory, regulatory or policy requirements
