Job description

Responsibilities & requirements
 

·         Ensure the HR strategy is derived from and aligned to the organisation’s objectives in consultation with key organizational stakeholders.

·         Ensure employee resources are budgeted for in order to meet the strategic goals for growth and overall success in the business.

·         Ensure all employment relations strategies, policies and procedures conform to appropriate legislation, codes of good practice, industry charters, bargaining council agreements, and sectorial determinations.

·         Ensure the Mine comply with the requirements of the Mining Charter.

·         Accountable for the development and implementation of the transformation plan

·         Implement the Mine’s Employment Equity Plan in line with legislation, and reporting progress on Employment Equity on a quarterly basis to the Mine’s Leadership team.

·         Implementation of al talent management initiatives applicable to the Mine.

·         Position HR as a strategic business partner in the risk governance structures and process of the organization.

·         Refreshing of the HR Risk register as and when conditions changes

·         Designing a strategic workforce plan which meets the needs of the organisation in consultation with line management, and adjust the strategy accordingly.

·         Identify, select and implement in an integrated approach the appropriate learning and development interventions.

·         Translate and cascade broad organisational performance drivers into team and individual performance targets.

·         Proactively drive all recruitment activities on the Mine in a timeous and cost effective manner ensuring minimum disruption to production.

·         Develop the stakeholder engagement strategy

·         Ensure engagement with the local authorities. Communities, provincial and national authorizes (Department of Mineral Resources and Energy) and other structures in the development and implementation of the Social and Labour Plans.

·         Effective management of housing administration on the Mine

·         Ensure that Thabazimbi Mine meets the legislative and statutory requirements in terms of skills development and closure plan

Minimum requirements

Qualifications & requirements
 
  • Applicable B Degree / Higher National Diploma / B.Tech (NQF 7)
  • Comprehensive experience of full HR Management
  • Comprehensive experience in labour Relations
  • Experience of Housing Administration
  • Experience on the management and reporting on SLP commitments
