- Managing the ArcelorMittal strategy to improve throughput and reduce costs
- Understanding and leveraging the business' strategy and business drivers
- Supporting the business' process general strategy
- Manage the Department on sound business principles
- Managing long term pro-active relationships with customers and suppliers
- Managing and optimise all costs involved
- Active management of SHERQ related duties
- Coaching and development of managerial levels and high potential candidates
- Define and optimise quality standards and procedures.
- Root cause identification followed by the implementation of the appropriate corrective and preventative action.
- Development and improvement of products and processes
- Providing technical support to Marketing and Production
- Compiling of technical reports and presentations.
- Initiating and managing multiple projects across boundaries
- Interaction and communication with all stakeholders
Minimum requirements
Qualifications
- Relevant BEng or BSc Degree (NQF8)
- Management Development Programme (Preferable)
Experience requirements
- 15 Years relevant experience in Operations
