Job description

  • Development and implementation of maintenance repair strategies
  • Assess budgetary requirements, compile oven repair budget and provide input into yearly plant budget
  • Manage data collection of operational parameters, analyze data, and track various action sheets with Experts to improve operational variables
  • Monitor welders' work quality
  • Manage availability and optimize oven availability
  • Develop and control over the execution of maintenance activities
  • Contribute to BI wave execution within responsibility area
  • Ensure repair of installations with minimum impact on production
  • Identify and motivate implementation of extraordinary maintenance expenditure
  • Champion disciplined implementation of SHERQ processes and systems




Minimum requirements

Qualifications
  • BSc honours/ B-Eng. Degree (NQF 8/10) in Metallurgical Engineering

Experience & Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Project management experience
  • Asset reliability progress knowledge would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of supply chain and interaction with internal and external suppliers
  • Good knowledge of maintenance philosophies, processes and procedures
  • General knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulations
  • Computer literate (SAP, Word, Excel)
