Job description
Key Performance Areas
- Co-compile and execute strategies for improvement on processes.
- Process development and improvement
- Continuous improvement of plant availability
- Technical support to the production section
- Manage, execute and implement capital projects
- Integrate relevant Engineering disciplines
- Training and mentoring of Technicians and process experts
- Failure analyses
- Assistance with planning and scheduling of the emergency maintenance team’s activities
- Identify and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compiling detail technical specifications
Minimum requirements
Qualification
- B-Degree in Metallurgical Engineering (NQF8)
Experience
- 6 years relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of steel making processes

- Able to work in a multi-functional & -discipline team (leader, facilitator, member)
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Sound communication and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated, pro-active approach, result orientated and performance driven
- Able to mentor, coach & develop technical teams and transfer knowledge
