Job description

Job key performance areas
Security and Investigations
•    Liaising with SAPS and local authorities
•    Manage the overall Security Service in constant liaison with the Security Contract Manager responsible for the day-to-day management activities of the service
•    Assess and adapt the security strategy/philosophy on an ongoing basis maintaining alignment with the security threats
•    Prioritize and focus investigation activities on cases of most benefit to the AMSA
•    Ensure the existence of a fit for purpose case management process to empower the company and its representatives to deal effectively with transgressions in the most cost effective and risk-sensitive manner
•    Provide sound access control processes through effective control of access card issuing (i.e. “Permit Office system and equipment maintenance)
•    Undertake investigations as needed (forensic, fraud and other serious cases)
Emergency Services
•    Manage the overall Emergency Services function
•    Provide First Aid and Firefighting training to AMSA employees, as well as identified service contractor employees
•    Provide an accredited Fire Extinguisher refill station and gas monitor calibration and service center
•    Ensure Roof Scorpions are effectively deployed ensuring the safety of teams working on the roofs in LSP KZN
Weighbridge Operations and General
•    Manage weighbridge operations and personnel
•    Ensure main weighbridge scales are calibrated, maintained and in operation as required
•    Manage the Commercial Cleaning contract
•    Ensure that the lifts in the Admin Building are maintained according to the legally require standard.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications
•    Grade 12/N3 (NQF 4)
•    Certified Fire Fighter  
•    Grade A Psira registered security Certificate.
•    Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a ILS Paramedic.
•    C1 driver’s license. 
•    Hazarmat Certificate.
•    High angle rope rescue Certificate.

Experience
•    5 Years security and EMS experience 
•    Previous supervisory experience will be an advantage
•    Investigation techniques

•    Candidate must be proficient in English (written and spoken)
•    Must be medically fit
•    Team player
•    Must have coaching abilities
•    Analytical and problem solving skills
